Holtville LTVA and Hotsprings

Like this place, boondocking on the desert again, but a nice hotsprings and room for the dogs to run. $40 gets you 2 weeks.

Drove down to Salton Sea, hoping to stop at either Bashfords or Fountain of Youth, but both were full due to long weekend so drove down to Holtville, near El Centro about 10 miles from Mexican border

February 11, 2009
Well it has been awhile since I posted again. Spent a couple of days at Salton Sea and then headed for Wilderness Lakes at Minifee CA. Sat through indoctrination “sales pitch”. When I didn’t sign up immediately I was pretty well given the bums rush out. Oh well I am sure I will live long enough to be kicked out of better places. I think they did not like the idea that I may buy a membership from an existing member.
It rained all the time I was at Minifee (2 nights) and then drove to Jojoba Hills, an SKP park. Rained here the first two days too, but the sun is shining now and did yesterday too.
Drove down to Borrego Springs on route 22 and decided that maybe I wouldn’t take the trailer on that route. (Maybe if I had a bigger truck). I held up quite a line up of vehicles driving from Temecula to Aguana, but as far as I know, only one finger….lol.
Also drove up to Julian, just in case I didn’t go out that way. Neat town, but there was quite a bit of snow, and a little difficult to get around. Even had to put the truck in 4WD for a bit.
Not sure where I will be headed next. Hope that Ed makes it down here. Probably head towards Yuma and stop at Holtville to check out the free camping and hotsprings.

I think I need a new computer, or maybe just a better internet connection.

Still in Quartzite, but Aki's vet appointment is tomorrow and then I will head for either Salton Sea or Anza Borrego. Couple of pics of market place and one of the sunset here. Not much new happening right now. The group on the desert has gone down to 3 from 80 so it is a lot quieter, and the dogs can run around with out being tied up.

Maybe when I get to California I will have better access to internet and will post more. Thinking about getting an air card but the two year contract bothers me
